Mathematics Program<\/h4>\n
The university awards two degrees from this department, the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and the Master of Science in Community\/Technical College Mathematics.\u00a0A student earning the Bachelor of Science degree in\u00a0Mathematics must complete the curriculum listed below, with one of the indicated concentrations in Advanced Mathematics, Computer Science, or Secondary Mathematics Education.\u00a0Students are encouraged to inquire about their concentration focus areas with their advisors or the department head.<\/p>\n

Minor in Mathematics<\/h4>\n
A minor in Mathematics requires the completion of\u00a0MATH 165, 166, and 265 and\u00a0nine additional hours to be chosen from\u00a0MATH 355, 358, 360, 405, 407, 423, 461, 465, 471, 481, 482, 485, 488, 491, and 495. A grade of C or better is required in each course.<\/p>\n
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics<\/strong><\/p>\n
Three courses (9 hrs) from: MATH 423, 471, 481, 482, 485, 488, 491, and 495, with at least one course (3 hrs) from Group A and at least one course (3 hrs) from Group B, described below.<\/p>\n
