The Hearst Journalism Awards program Tuesday morning, June 2, announced that 杏吧传媒 placed 20th in the national Team Multimedia Competition – Digital News/Enterprise category. This is the first time that 杏吧传媒 has taken part in this category of the Hearst contest.
杏吧传媒 was the only Louisiana school to be ranked in that division鈥檚 top 20, in which Western Kentucky University took first place.
The recognition was for this semester鈥檚 edition of , a digital magazine produced by students in A. Laure Chamberlain Kasovich鈥檚 capstone MACO course. The edition focused on the abandoned community of Grand Bayou, which was devastated by environmental calamities.
