This person should be responsible, dynamic, self-starter,<br \/>energetic, hardworking, and creative. While assisting with a wide range of projects, the intern will gain<br \/>hands-on experience and training in the communications field, while also gaining a good understanding<br \/>of the oil and gas industry and a trade association.<\/p>\n<h4>Job Duties:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with updating and maintaining LMOGA\u2019s website and social media presence.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with planning and managing social media content and scheduling updates.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in planning, writing and managing news releases, E-newsletters, and any other content for<br \/>internal and external audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the design of flyers, graphics, e-vites and other materials for events and marketing.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with creating presentations and reports, using PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with organizing and attend public affairs committee meetings, including preparing<br \/>agendas and taking minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Support LMOGA staff planning and executing events and assist with developing a run of show<br \/>and other materials or tasks associated with the events<\/li>\n<li>Utilize online media management database to update media contacts and compile reports.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with General administrative tasks as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Qualifications:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent computer skills with strong understanding of Microsoft Office<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Campaign Monitor, Canva, Eventbrite preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English,<br \/>Marketing\/Communications, or Public Relations)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and members<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detailed-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and<br \/>meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Interested applicants must be in the third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree; higher<br \/>level applicants are welcome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>LMOGA Internships requires a commitment of 10-20 hours per week. Internships are generally<br \/>scheduled during LMOGA\u2019s office hours between 8:30am \u2013 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Internships<br \/>are an excellent opportunity to expose qualified applicants to communications experience within a trade<br \/>association.
