Manager will be responsible for creating and executing comprehensive communications programs, involving communications tactics that support the overall strategy, position, and vision of our clients, including but not limited to establishing unified multi-faceted marketing strategies, media and community outreach and crisis communications.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">A highly strategic communicator who can understand, synthesize, and communicate artfully about complex and nuanced topics.<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Directly lead and manage comprehensive communications strategies to support client brand goals<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Execute broad range of tactical public relations activities supporting overall strategic communications goals<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Become an ambassador of the agency and our clients in developing relationships with media and key community groups and members<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Craft compelling stories deployed via press releases, media alerts and other external communications pieces independently<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Actively engage in media relations and story pitching on behalf of clients<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Regularly monitor media engagement and other established marketing KPIs to optimize current tactics and find opportunities for new solutions<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Work with the Creative team to provide clear and strategic direction for tactics requiring creative elements<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Function as day-to-day client liaison for the agency with minimal supervision, managing the multiple facets of the client relationship including but not limited to managing internal and external timelines, resources, and budget.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b><strong>Qualifications:<br \/><\/strong><\/b>The ideal candidate will possess the following:<\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Degree in communications, public relations or another related field<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Minimum 4 years of hands-on public relations experience<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Strong management skills<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Strong organizational and planning skills<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Previous experience working with the media, with previous media relationships preferred<\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ability to develop, maintain and promote professional and respectful working relationships with co-workers, clients, members of the media<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b><strong>Compensation:<br \/><\/strong><\/b>This full-time position offers a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, PTO accrual, retirement program and ongoing professional development.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Spears Group is an equal-opportunity organization that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
