The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) is responsible for managing and supporting community-based outreach and engagement activities and building capacity for sustainable community collaborations focused on improving the health of underserved communities. The candidate utilizes knowledge of the community and relationships with local community partners to assist in the management and execution of the CHERISH study aimed at minimizing health disparities and optimizing health and wellness for all community members. Utilizes social media and similar platforms to enhance distribution of services and educational materials. This position will also support the CHERISH study on various administrative tasks as needed.<br \/><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work with multicultural communities, including coordination of community outreach activities and in working with agencies serving minorities<\/li>\n<li>Leadership, communications, problem-solving, and organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and project management skills- Excellent oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Required Background Check, Physical, and Drug Screening for Incumbents Who Have Contact or Exposure to Animals or Animal Tissues:<\/b><br \/><br \/>Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment.
