It fills the cracks,
\ntrickling through the empty spaces,
\noff the tips of each leaf and
\njutting branch.
\nDown my tree bark spine,
\nslipping against the soft green flesh
\nand onto buried roots.<\/p>\n

It fills the cracks,
\nseeps through sand and pebbles,
\nerodes the surface,
\npulling at the excess
\nlike wind off crashing waves
\nuntil there’s nothing but truths,
\nfrigid and invigorating.<\/p>\n

It fills the cracks,
\nlinking each thought, word, life
\nblooming flowers touching
\ntoes beneath the weathered surface,
\npetals bending under
\nthe same breeze,
\ncalming storms between synapses.<\/p>\n

It fills the cracks
\nthat human feet leave
\non a well-traveled earth,
\ncompletes the cycle,
\nreplenishes, rebuilds, renews,
\nrecycles the fallen, useless pieces,
