THIBODAUX – Having won first place for the third consecutive year at the South Central Regional San Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef Competition, the John Folse Culinary Institute at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ State University is setting its sights on national acclaim.

Johnathan Lynch, junior culinary major from Ruston, won top honors against six other students at the regional competition earlier this month. His menu included Pan Bronzed Supreme of Chicken, Fried Jambalaya Risotto Cake, Roasted Tomato Petal, Sautéed Spinach and Meuniere Sauce.
Lynch will take the winning recipes to California next week – joined by his faculty advisor, Associate Dean Randy Cheramie – to compete for the national title.
