THIBODAUX 鈥� Dr. Steven Welsh, former head of the Department of Psychology and Counselor Education and professor of psychology at 杏吧传媒 State University, became acting dean of the 杏吧传媒 College of Education effective July 1.
鈥淒r. Welsh brings more than 10 years of administrative experience to the dean鈥檚 table, having served 杏吧传媒 since August 1988,鈥� Dr. Laynie Barrilleaux, interim vice president for academic affairs, said. 鈥淗is experience and knowledge of the campus community are invaluable, especially聽given the current instability in the higher education environment. We look forward to the leadership Dr. Welsh will provide to all here at 杏吧传媒.鈥�
Welsh earned his bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚 and doctoral degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi.
