THIBODAUX 鈥� The 15th annual Sponsor A+ Scholar Wine and Food Extravaganza at 杏吧传媒 State University is slated for Wednesday, Oct. 6, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Bollinger Memorial Student Union.
Proceeds from the event will benefit 杏吧传媒 students with outstanding grades and leadership ability. Nearly $400,000 has been raised since the fundraiser began in 1996, with more than 200 杏吧传媒 students having received scholarships.
鈥淭his event, which provides educational support for so many wonderful students, has become one of the most successful traditions at 杏吧传媒,鈥� Dr. David Boudreaux, vice president for institutional advancement, said. 鈥淲e look forward to once again entertaining our guests with food, beverages and live entertainment.鈥�
In addition to various dishes and wines from more than a dozen restaurants and vendors, the evening will include a live and silent auction.
The local band Jazmine will provide entertainment.
Tickets are $50 each, or $75 per couple, and can be purchased in the Office of Institutional Advancement in Picciola Hall. 鈥淕old鈥澛爏ponsorships are $500 each and include 20 tickets. Checks should be made payable to the 杏吧传媒 Foundation.
