THIBODAUX 鈥� Simone Harris of Thibodaux has been named associate director of the Bollinger Memorial Student Union at 杏吧传媒. She will oversee the Office of Continuing Education, spearheading adult and youth non-credit programs that provide opportunities for intellectual and personal development.
鈥淎s a native of Thibodaux, I’m glad to be in a position where I can positively impact the university and the community as a whole,鈥� Harris said.聽鈥淚 understand and appreciate the importance of youth enhancement through programs and event services. I enjoy experiencing the fulfillment of personal growth and seeing how it can positively聽inspire others, and I know I’ll get that chance in this position.鈥�
Harris will report to Brandie Toups, director of the student union and former director of continuing education, a position that used to fall directly under the Office of Auxiliary Services before 杏吧传媒 implemented certain organizational restructuring.
鈥淪imone will represent 杏吧传媒 well with her honed professionalism and multi-faceted organization skills,鈥� Toups said. 鈥淚 am excited to have such a strong team in the Office of Continuing Education.鈥�
