THIBODAUX 鈥� The 杏吧传媒 community mourns the death of Sgt. Joseph 鈥淛oey鈥� Suitt, 30, of University Police, who died Saturday morning following a single-vehicle accident.
鈥淭he 杏吧传媒 family is saddened by the loss of this dedicated police officer,鈥� Dr. Stephen T. Hulbert, university president, said. 鈥淪gt. Suitt was a much-loved member of the university community, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.鈥�
A five-year employee of University Police and a resident of Thibodaux, Suitt was driving to work when the accident occurred. Louisiana State Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
