Rebecca Lyons, department head and assistant professor of nursing at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½, was awarded the Presidential Award for Academic Administrator Excellence at the first faculty meeting of the fall 2011 semester, conducted Thursday, Aug. 11.
The award, which comes with a certificate and a $1,000 salary increase, recognizes an outstanding, full-time department head with at least five years of administrative service at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½. The awardee must have received a rating of excellent in his or her area of administration.
