THIBODAUX 鈥� The 16th annual Sponsor A+ Scholar Wine and Food Extravaganza at 杏吧传媒 is slated for Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Bollinger Memorial Student Union.
Proceeds from the event will benefit 杏吧传媒 students with outstanding grades and leadership ability. More than $400,000 has been raised since the fundraiser began in 1996, with nearly 250 杏吧传媒 students having received scholarships.
鈥淚 am very pleased that this event has become so popular in the Bayou Region,鈥� Dr. David Boudreaux, vice president for institutional advancement, said. 鈥淓ach year we look forward to the Sponsor A+ Scholar tradition. Attendees are sure to enjoy an entertaining evening, and our best and brightest students will benefit as a result.鈥�
In addition to various dishes and wines from more than a dozen restaurants and vendors, the evening will include a live and silent auction. The local band Jazmine will provide entertainment.
Tickets are $50 each, or $75 per couple, and can be purchased in the Office of Institutional Advancement in Picciola Hall on the 杏吧传媒 campus. 鈥淕old鈥澛爏ponsorships are $500 each and include 20 tickets.
