THIBODAUX 鈥� The 杏吧传媒 Department of Music will present the 鈥淏rasileirissimo!鈥� concert tour on Tuesday, Sept. 4, on campus in the Mary M. Danos Theater (formerly Talbot Theater).
Featuring the , a husband-and-wife team including flutist Sergio Barrenechea and pianist Lucia Barrenechea, 鈥淏rasileirissimo!鈥� will highlight music from the duo鈥檚 native Brazil.
Concertgoers will enjoy a live repertoire of the Duo Barrenechea鈥檚 triple CD album 鈥淭he Flute Music of Francisco Mignone鈥� 鈥� as well as works by various Brazilian composers from the past two centuries.
Free and open to the public, the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. The visiting musicians will offer master classes the following day, at times and locations to be announced.
