{"id":1199,"date":"2010-02-11T12:57:27","date_gmt":"2010-02-11T17:57:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/?p=1199"},"modified":"2010-02-11T12:57:27","modified_gmt":"2010-02-11T17:57:27","slug":"nicholls-enrollment-stats-point-to-continued-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/2010\/02\/11\/nicholls-enrollment-stats-point-to-continued-growth\/","title":{"rendered":"ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ enrollment stats point to continued growth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THIBODAUX \u2013 ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ State  University\u2019s total enrollment has increased steadily over the past four years \u2013 an encouraging sign, administrators say, especially given the institution\u2019s record number of graduates this past fall.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we bid good-bye to students at commencement exercises, we\u2019re welcoming more and more students to the classroom,\u201d Larry Howell, associate provost, said. \u201cÐÓ°É´«Ã½ is clearly a healthy institution that continues to fulfill its mission of educating tomorrow\u2019s workforce. The spring enrollment statistics only further validate our position as the region\u2019s university of choice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The total, current enrollment of 6,495 exceeds the spring 2009 enrollment by 66 students \u2013 with graduate student rolls having increased by 13.4 percent.
