Klaus, professor of music and director of choral activities, on Thursday, Dec. 2.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2010\/11\/Chamber-Singers.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-1864\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2010\/11\/Chamber-Singers-540x359.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"325\" height=\"216\" \/><\/a>This 24th edition of the Chamber Singers\u2019 Christmas Dinner Series will begin at 7 p.m in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Bollinger Student Union. Doors will open at 6:30.<\/p>\n<p>Surrounded by holiday decor, the appropriately costumed singers will perform Christmas carols and other popular music from 1945 to 1966. Selections will include \u201cA Charlie Brown Christmas,\u201d featuring music from the animated Peanuts special of 1966; \u201cJingle Bell Rock,\u201d \u201cSilver Bells,\u201d \u201cBlue Christmas,\u201d the Carpenters\u2019 \u201cMerry Christmas Darling,\u201d \u201cSilver and Gold\u201d from the \u201cRudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer\u201d TV special; \u201cSanta Claus is Coming to Town,\u201d Mel Torme\u2019s \u201cThe Christmas Song,\u201d and \u201cIt\u2019s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,\u201d among others.<\/p>\n<p>Additional period music will include popular Elvis Presley songs and other hits from the 1950s.<\/p>\n<p>A four-course holiday meal will be served as well, including the Chamber Singers\u2019 Old English Wassail and Holiday Soup, along with salad, an entr\u00e9e with a full compliment of side dishes, dessert and coffee. Each table seats a maximum of eight people.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $35 each, or $12 for children 12 and under, and must be reserved by noon Tuesday, Nov. 30.
