We were very glad that we were so well represented, and we think it says a lot about the caliber of our students,\u201d said Chef Randy Cheramie, executive director of the culinary institute at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½.<\/p>\n<p>The following ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ culinary students received the LRAEF\/NRAEF Scholarship, given to students who have or will receive the ProStart Certificate of Achievement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sabrina Bodenheimer, graduate of Lakeshore High School(second-year recipient)<\/li>\n<li>Victoria Cart, graduate of Sulphur High School (third-year recipient)<\/li>\n<li>Lauren Fendlason, graduate of Hammond High Magnet School (second-year recipient)<\/li>\n<li>Jordan McClelland<b>, <\/b>graduate of Dutchtown High School (second-year recipient)<\/li>\n<li>Melissa McGuire, graduate of Mandeville High School (third-year recipient)<\/li>\n<li>Thien Nguyen, graduate of Dutchtown High School (third-year recipient)<\/li>\n<li>Sadie Poche<b>, <\/b>graduate of Lutcher High School\/St. James Career Center<\/li>\n<li>Hillary Scott, graduate of Allen High School in Allen, Texas (third-year recipient)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following students received the General Hospitality Scholarship, given to students who are currently enrolled or have been accepted in a hospitality or culinary degree program:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunni Authement, graduate of South Terrebonne High School<\/li>\n<li>Lindsey Carroll<b>, <\/b>graduate of Lutheran High School of Greater New Orleans<\/li>\n<li>Rachel DeFelice<b>, <\/b>graduate of Grace King High School<\/li>\n<li>Tashira Green<b>, <\/b>graduate of Zachary High School<\/li>\n<li>April Lee, graduate of East St. John High School (second-year recipient)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThe LRA Education Foundation is thrilled to award scholarships to these deserving students,\u201d said LRAEF Executive Director Alice Glenn. \u201cLouisiana\u2019s restaurant industry is expected to add more than 17,400 jobs in the next 10 years. The LRA Education Foundation, through its Scholarship Program, seeks to deliver educated and highly-skilled employees to the workforce once their college education is complete. I have no doubt that these individuals will use these scholarships to strengthen the foodservice and hospitality industries in the coming years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ features the state\u2019s only culinary bachelor\u2019s degree program.
