{"id":6566,"date":"2018-03-20T17:17:27","date_gmt":"2018-03-20T22:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/?p=6566"},"modified":"2018-03-20T17:17:27","modified_gmt":"2018-03-20T22:17:27","slug":"nicholls-art-student-receives-advertising-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/2018\/03\/20\/nicholls-art-student-receives-advertising-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ art student receives advertising awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2018\/03\/image-5.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6567\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2018\/03\/image-5-540x399.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"532\" height=\"393\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">THIBODAUX, La. &#8212; A ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ art major will have her advertising campaign judged on a national level after being recognized at the local and regional level. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Celeste Bourgeois, a senior from Thibodaux, received a Silver ADDY &#8211; a term coined for an American Advertising Federation award &#8211; for Integrated Brand Identity Campaign. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIt\u2019s invigorating to have a ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ student receive local and regional ADDY awards and be recognized by industry judges as one of the best among her peers,\u201d said Trisha Rabalais, associate professor of art. \u201cCeleste is an example of the truly remarkable talent that we have in the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ department of art.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bourgeois was first honored by the Baton Rouge chapter of the AAF on March 3 for her project titled, \u201cMARGZ Margarita Festival.\u201d Her project later received top honors in District 7, which covers Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, and will move on to Nationals.
