The ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ team presented a solution to the situation and long-term changes to practices and policies for the company.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This spring\u2019s team consisted of five upperclassmen business majors with concentrations in human resources: Taylor Boudoin, Peyton Chiasson, Josie Graham, Olivia Lege and Paige Thomas. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThis team received very little negative feedback from the judges who all mentioned how impressed they were,\u201d said Melanie Boudreaux, faculty sponsor and Harvey Peltier, Sr. Endowed Professor of business administration. \u201cOur students continue to outpace the competition, which only makes them even more prepared for the workforce when they graduate.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each student won $100 cash and the student chapter received $500.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With more than 120 active members, the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ SHRM chapter is the largest in the state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Society for Human Resources Management helps to enhance the students&#8217; real-world human resources experience through attending various events and workshops, including conferences, an etiquette dinner, resume workshops, and mock interviews, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">April 5, 2018<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>CONTACT: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jacob Batte, Media Relations and Publications Coordinator,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">985.448.4141<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> or <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">jacob.batte@www.nicholls.edu<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; THIBODAUX, La. &#8212; Another Louisiana Human Resource Case Competition and another win for the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ chapter.
