{"id":7188,"date":"2018-11-13T17:00:38","date_gmt":"2018-11-13T23:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/?p=7188"},"modified":"2018-11-13T17:00:38","modified_gmt":"2018-11-13T23:00:38","slug":"music-department-holiday-gala-to-benefit-scholarship-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/2018\/11\/13\/music-department-holiday-gala-to-benefit-scholarship-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Music Department Holiday Gala to benefit scholarship fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2018\/05\/ÐÓ°É´«Ã½-N-Logo-1-2.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-6815\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/66\/2018\/05\/ÐÓ°É´«Ã½-N-Logo-1-2-220x140.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"294\" height=\"187\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">THIBODAUX, La. &#8212; The ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Department of Music invites you to get into the holiday spirit next month as several student ensembles will perform Christmas favorites including exciting new arrangements of \u201cDeck the Halls,\u201d \u201cJingle Bells\u201d and \u201cSleigh Ride.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Holiday Gala, set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 in the Mary and Al Danos Theater, will feature the Jazz Ensemble, Gospel Choir, Concert Choir and Symphonic Winds Ensemble. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe collaboration will give the listener an eclectic mix of holiday favorites from the sublime to the energetic and everything in between &#8211; there will be something on this program that will appeal to every listener,\u201d said Dr. John St. Marie, assistant music professor and director of choral activities. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students through <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etix.com\/ticket\/p\/5567800\/nicholls-state-unversity-department-of-music-department-of-music-holiday-gala-thibodaux-mary-and-al-danos-theater-nsu-\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">etix.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, by searching for ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Holiday Gala.
