She served as the director of dietetics at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ for 20 years before she retired in 2013. Dr. Brigett Scott, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">department head of allied health sciences and interim assistant dean of the College of Nursing and Allied Health<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, was a student of Dr. Leistner\u2019s and worked with her before she retired. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cShe was funny and full of stories; she taught by story-telling,\u201d Dr. Scott said. \u201cShe was strict but you loved every minute of her class because you knew you were really learning.
