Mary Ann Caffery<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

THIBODAUX, La. — The ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Chauvin Sculpture Garden and Art Studio will host an exhibit by a Baton Rouge artist, teacher, and owner of the Caffery Gallery, whose art is featured in museums worldwide. <\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibit of work by Mary Ann Caffery will be from March 18 to May 3. Caffery will be on hand during the Chauvin Folk Art Festival and Blessing of the Fleet on Sunday, April 7. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Caffery, owner and artistic director of Caffery Gallery in Baton Rouge and retired instructor of interior design at the LSU College of Art + Design, studied with prominent designers and artists in the U.S., France, Germany and Canada. Her stained glass, mosaics, sculptures and paintings have been featured in the Corning Museum\u2019s annual New Glass Review and are owned by museums in the U.S., Japan and Germany. Her work is featured throughout Louis Armstrong International Airport and the Lafayette Regional Airport. She has also completed numerous stained glass works for public and private clients, including art for the 2nd District Police Headquarters in New Orleans. In 2012, Caffery received the Mary E. Moody Lifetime Achievement Medal from the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance. <\/span><\/p>\n

Formerly the home of Kenny Hill, the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Chauvin Sculpture Garden and Art Studio features more than 100 concrete structures crafted by hill during the decade he lived on the property. The property was gifted to ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ and opened to the public in 2002. <\/span><\/p>\n
