{"id":7961,"date":"2019-10-15T14:05:37","date_gmt":"2019-10-15T14:05:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/?p=7961"},"modified":"2019-10-15T14:05:38","modified_gmt":"2019-10-15T14:05:38","slug":"grambling-nicholls-finalize-mba-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/2019\/10\/15\/grambling-nicholls-finalize-mba-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Grambling, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Finalize MBA Partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>THIBODAUX, La. &#8212; Grambling State University and ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ are partnering to create the next generation of Louisiana business leaders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two sister institutions in the University of Louisiana System signed a memorandum of understanding creating a pathway for graduates of the Grambling College of Business to enter the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Master of Business Administration program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ and Grambling share elite status among business colleges as they are AACSB-accredited, a distinction held by less than 5 percent of business schools worldwide.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was a pleasure working with (College of Business Dean) Dr. Donald White to fashion an agreement that not only benefits business graduates from Grambling but also serves to further enrich diversity within our MBA population here at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½,\u201d said Ray Peters, director of the MBA program at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the agreement, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ has set aside two grad assistant positions for Grambling graduates who enroll in the program. Students at Grambling State can enroll and begin coursework at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ State as soon as the Spring of 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis partnership opens another door for students to build on their undergraduate experience and take advantage of the best of Louisiana&#8217;s educational opportunities,\u201d said Rick Gallot, President of Grambling State University.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors approved the MOU at their Aug. 27 meeting. In 2017, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ restructured the MBA program which will allow students to earn their MBA in 18 months.
