Walton is an instructor of painting at Southeastern Louisiana University.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lecture is part of an ongoing still life exhibit hosted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/art\/ameen-art-gallery\/\">Ameen Art Gallery<\/a>. &#8220;Thinking Through Things: A Still Life Painting Invitational\u201d features one of Walton\u2019s paintings, \u201cStaying Connected.\u201d This exhibit is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until March 6. Both the lecture and exhibit are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walton was born in Oxford, United Kingdom. His parents moved to Washington, D.C., when he was a baby. Beginning at age 16, he studied with renowned artist Carlo Pittore. Walton received his BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2004 and his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Art in 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His paintings have been exhibited in places including the Pennsylvania Academy of Arts, \u201cThe Sleeper Presents\u201d in San Francisco and Cabrini College. He has a painting in the permanent collection of the Woodmere Museum.
