THIBODAUX, La. — Graduates from the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts will be able to transfer with ease to ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ thanks to an agreement finalized by two schools this month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ President Dr. Jay Clune<\/a> signed the memorandum of understanding on July 8. It will go into effect for the Fall semester.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI am excited to complete this partnership with NOCCA,\u201d Dr. Clune said. \u201dIt creates a pipeline of students to ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ from a school that has meaningfully contributed to New Orleans\u2019 unique culture.\u201d Courses that will transfer over to ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ include culinary arts, performing arts, visual arts, English and world history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis articulation agreement with ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ provides an incredible opportunity to our students,\u201d said NOCCA President and CEO Kyle Wedberg. \u201cFor years our NOCCA Culinary Arts Department has been a post-secondary partner working to further develop and nurture our students with the John Folse Culinary Institute at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½. Now these students will receive articulation credits at this national caliber hospitality and culinary training center right here in Louisiana. This articulation agreement will also benefit our music students in classical instrumental, jazz and vocal; and visual arts students as well will receive college credits for work done at NOCCA.
