{"id":8213,"date":"2020-08-05T21:36:57","date_gmt":"2020-08-05T21:36:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/?p=8213"},"modified":"2020-08-05T21:36:57","modified_gmt":"2020-08-05T21:36:57","slug":"art-history-professors-essay-featured-in-german-exhibit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/2020\/08\/05\/art-history-professors-essay-featured-in-german-exhibit\/","title":{"rendered":"Art History Professor\u2019s Essay Featured in German Exhibit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">THIBODAUX, La. &#8212; An international exhibit published a ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ art professor\u2019s essay on an abstract expressionist artist last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Assistant professor of art history Dr. Ashley Busby\u2019s work was featured in the catalog for \u201cFarbe\/\/Form: Dorothy Fratt &amp; Stefan Rohrer\u201d at the Stadtische Galerie in der Reithalle in Paderborn, Germany.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fratt, who died in 2017, was one of the premier non-objective painters of her generation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The essay examines Fratt\u2019s career and experimentation with color and form. The Ameen Art Gallery exhibited Fratt\u2019s paper art \u2014 some for the first time \u2014 last fall.
