THIBODAUX, La. — An international exhibit published a ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ art professor\u2019s essay on an abstract expressionist artist last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Assistant professor of art history Dr. Ashley Busby\u2019s work was featured in the catalog for \u201cFarbe\/\/Form: Dorothy Fratt & Stefan Rohrer\u201d at the Stadtische Galerie in der Reithalle in Paderborn, Germany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fratt, who died in 2017, was one of the premier non-objective painters of her generation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The essay examines Fratt\u2019s career and experimentation with color and form. The Ameen Art Gallery exhibited Fratt\u2019s paper art \u2014 some for the first time \u2014 last fall. Dr. Busby also wrote the catalog essay for the Ameen exhibit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More recently, Frat\u2019s work has been exhibited at the Yares Gallery in New York and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art in Arizona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
