{"id":8234,"date":"2020-09-01T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-01T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/?p=8234"},"modified":"2020-08-27T15:12:30","modified_gmt":"2020-08-27T15:12:30","slug":"nicholls-dillard-business-schools-enter-mou","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/news\/2020\/09\/01\/nicholls-dillard-business-schools-enter-mou\/","title":{"rendered":"ÐÓ°É´«Ã½, Dillard Business Schools Enter MOU"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>THIBODAUX, La. &#8212; ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ and Dillard University have signed an agreement to work together to prepare students for a modern business environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The memorandum of understanding will allow Dillard College of Business graduates a seamless transfer pathway to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/business\/MBA-business-graduate-programs\/\">ÐÓ°É´«Ã½\u2019 Master of Business Administration program<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ MBA program is continuously seeking ways to broaden the diversity of its student population,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/business\/faculty\/mr-ray-peters\/\">Ray Peters<\/a>, director of the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ MBA and EMBA programs and professor of leadership. \u201cSimilar to our agreement with Grambling State University, we are adding a portal to qualified African-American students. Dillard is an outstanding institution, and its business graduates would undoubtedly enhance our program.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dillard is an accredited private, historically Black university in New Orleans. Dillard\u2019s College of Business was established in 1984 when the Division of Business was created from the University\u2019s Division of Social Sciences. The Division of Business eventually became the School of Business, and now, the College of Business. This evolution is a testament to the fact that the faculty and staff of the College of Business have diligently fulfilled the charge for educational excellence and student satisfaction. The College of Business delivers business education through innovative, student-centered teaching and scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough this Memorandum of Understanding between Dillard University and ÐÓ°É´«Ã½, the two universities will work together to prepare students to meet workforce development needs as well-educated, responsible, and engaged business professionals,\u201d said Dr. Kristen Broad, dean of the Dillard College of Business and Barron Hilton Endowed Professor of Economics. \u201cI am excited about this opportunity for our students and I look forward to working with our new partners at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ MBA prepares current and future professionals to face an evolving future.
