The online educational resource ranked the program No. 35 in the country<\/a>, and noted ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ provides the best modern history focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAlthough we\u2019re a small program, we do emphasize the importance of modern history to give students a greater understanding of the world around them,\u201d said Dr. Paul Wilson<\/a>, history and geography<\/a> department head. \u201cWe also offer practical job training in our public history program and internship opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Intelligent.com ranked programs based on factors including accreditation, faculty, course strength, cost and flexibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A degree in history can lead students to careers including teacher, journalism, analyst, archivist, campaign worker, congressional aide, foreign service officer, information specialist, intelligence agent, legal assistant, lobbyist, personnel manager, public relations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Job growth for historians is expected to grow by 3 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, including an 11 percent expected demand for archivists and curators to meet the public\u2019s growing interest in history. The bureau reports that historians earn a salary of more than $63,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Founded in 2013 in Seattle by a group of startup professionals, Intelligent.com aims to cut through the noise and misinformation to help students.
