THIBODAUX, La. — ÐÓ°É´«Ã½<\/a> will advance and enhance teacher training thanks to a grant from the Louisiana Board of Regents<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Leah Peterson<\/a>, assistant professor of teacher education<\/a>, received $30,000 to use for quality assurance and diversity initiatives in the Department of Teacher Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grant money will hire consultants to guide training with each initiative. Dr. Peterson\u2019s proposal was the top-rated proposal under the board\u2019s enhancement funding guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The consultants will advise the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences for a year. But the benefits, Dr. Peterson said, will last long after the grant funding ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
