Collections will then be donated to area food banks the following week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Louisiana, more than 783,000 people, including more than 258,000 children, struggle with hunger, according to a 2018 study by Loyola University. One in six children lives in a household without consistent access to food.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2012, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Can has collected and donated nearly 130,000 items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Student Government Association will sponsor a Can Wars competition, where student organizations can create art using cans.
