Support the Colonels by purchasing tickets <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/tulanegreenwave.evenue.net\/cgi-bin\/ncommerce3\/SEGetEventInfo?ticketCode=GS:TU:FB23:FB03:&amp;linkID=tulane&amp;RSRC=SIDEARM&amp;RDAT=sbhr&amp;_ga=&amp;dataAccId=586&amp;locale=en_US&amp;siteId=ev_tulane\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cFor 75 years, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ has educated the people of our region and will continue to help this region flourish for many years to come. We are so proud to celebrate this milestone anniversary with the community over the next year,\u201d said ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ President, Jay Clune PhD.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ is a regional, public university with about 6,200 traditional and nontraditional students. The university serves a large population of first-generation college students and has consistently been designated as a Military Friendly School. ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ capitalizes on the region\u2019s geography and culture by offering more than 60 distinctive academic programs like geomatics, culinary arts, maritime management, marine and environmental science, petroleum services and safety technology. With its prime location along the coast, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ provides unique opportunities for instruction and research, continuing the work to save its coast, heritage and culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since first opening its doors in 1948, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ has been the only university serving the Bayou Region and has continued aspiring to be the intellectual, economic and cultural heart of its coastal community. As the university celebrates its 75th anniversary, ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ is embarking on the implementation of its new Strategic Plan for 2023-2028, \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/about\/strategic-plan\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Experience ÐÓ°É´«Ã½: Louisiana\u2019s Coastal University<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u201d The new plan, built on the foundations of sustainability, communication and safety, will focus on the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ experience through the pillars of the student, employee, academic and community experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The university will continue the yearlong celebration on Oct. 14 at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/family-day\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ÐÓ°É´«Ã½\u2019 2023 Family Day<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, starting at 11 a.m., featuring tailgating, a table display contest and a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> pep rally followed by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nichollstickets.universitytickets.com\/w\/event.aspx?id=1837&amp;r=720235b1e7b44f998cf196dc76c494fa\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Colonel football<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> taking on the Northwestern State Demons at 3 p.m. in John L. Guidry Stadium. Then, on Oct. 26, Danos Headquarters will host the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½\u2019 premier scholarship fundraising event, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nicholls.edu\/bon-vin\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bon Vin: An A+ Wine Tasting<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
