THIBODAUX, La. \u2013 The Pat and Kate Brady Family have pledged to donate $420,000 to the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Foundation to assist with the future construction of the new College of Business Administration facility and for naming rights of the atrium at the new facility. The atrium will be named the \u201cPat and Kate Brady Family Atrium.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>When you start adding together my family members who are ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ alumni, the number gets into the double digits. We\u2019ve had a great relationship with the university and have always believed that if you can afford to give, you give. You get back more than what you give \u2013 trust me. We are excited to partner with ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ State and contribute to a new, state-of-the-art business building that will transfer young adults into the business leaders of tomorrow,<\/span>\u201d said Pat Brady.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to thank the Brady Family for doing this. It\u2019s a dream for all of us to be able to have a location on campus that reflects the quality of our program. There really is something unique about ÐÓ°É´«Ã½. We\u2019re small, but we\u2019re mighty, and I think the quality of students coming out of the College of Business Administration is unrivaled. Community support makes us stronger,\u201d said Dr. Marilyn Macik-Frey, dean of the College of Business Administration and professor of management.<\/span><\/p>\n

The atrium\u2019s naming will commemorate the late Kate Brady, who\u2019s been described as a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and \u201cGrannie.\u201d Her grandchildren were her pride, and hunting was her passion. She loved Mardi Gras and was an original member of the Krewe of Versailles and past royalty. Kate was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Safari Club International and the Cruisin\u2019 Cajuns.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ College of Business Administration offers degrees in <\/span>Accounting<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Finance,<\/span><\/a> Computer Information Systems,<\/span><\/a> Management,<\/span><\/a> Marketing<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Business Administration<\/span><\/a>, including a fully <\/span>online Business Administration degree<\/span><\/a> and four pathways to earn a MBA. AACSB is the gold standard in quality accreditation for Colleges of Business, and less than 5% of Colleges worldwide hold this accreditation.
