THIBODAUX, La. \u2013 The Master of Science in nursing at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ has been recognized as one of the top 50 nursing graduate programs in America according to <\/span>Money Magazine<\/span><\/a>. It is also the only ranked nursing program in Louisiana.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Money<\/span><\/a> partnered with <\/span>College Factual<\/span><\/a> to find the country\u2019s top value programs. Graduate programs were ranked on a five-star scale based on annual costs, typical debt burdens, employment rates and graduate salaries, with ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ ranked at four-and-a-half stars.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe are extremely honored and appreciate the recognition of our nursing faculty and staff\u2019s dedication to providing high-quality, affordable educational opportunities for our nursing students. It is especially exciting for our current students who will soon graduate from the family nurse practitioner, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, or nurse educator concentrations that we offer,\u201d said Dr. Raquel Engolio, Dean and Assistant Professor for the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ College of Nursing. \u201cThis investment in their education provides nurses with better job opportunities and potentially higher salaries in nursing. We thank our alumni, healthcare community, and all who have contributed to our success.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The master\u2019s degree program in nursing is offered through the Intercollegiate Consortium for a Master of Science in nursing. The consortium is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and is composed of ÐÓ°É´«Ã½, Southeastern Louisiana University, University of Louisiana at Lafayette and McNeese State University.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The consortium universities work collaboratively to provide a comprehensive curriculum preparing graduates to participate in a number of opportunities in the healthcare profession. Faculty members are expertly engaged in distance education, clinical practice, research, and mentoring students.
