Each pitch contestant was given two minutes to set up, five minutes to deliver their pitch and three minutes for judges&#8217; questions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The judges for the night included:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mrs. Leah Brown, corporate affairs representative, Chevron<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mr. Hugh Caffery, CEO, Valentine Chemical<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mr. Brandon Keller, public affairs manager, Mosaic<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mr. Cody Blanchard, founder, White Car; team member, Premier Companies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ms. Susanna Lamers, CEO, BioInfoExperts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mr. John Hebert, senior vice president of commercial lending, Synergy Bank<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mr. Daryl Roy, CEO\/co-founder of 3D Media; former Pitch Competition winner<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mr. Michael Brown, managing partner of Thibodaux\u2019s Raising Canes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Awards included business cash and a voucher for continued startup business support at the BRI, including trainings, workshops, business printing, office space and meeting rooms. Stage 1 winners included:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1st place: <\/span><b>Sweet Kravings Donuts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 $8,000 in cash and a $1,500 BRI voucher for CEO Ms. Alycia Johnson and teammates Gaby Ruffin and Angela Danos<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2nd place: <\/span><b>Pop 7<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 $5,000 in cash and a $1,500 BRI voucher for owners Ms. Ocean and her siblings, along with her parents Mr. Jacob and Emily Lirette\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3rd place: <\/span><b>Buds and Blossoms Flower Farm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 $2,000 in cash and a $1,500 BRI voucher for owners, horticulturists and florists Mr. Blyght and Ms. Suzanne Wunstell<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Stage 2 winners included:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1st place: <\/span><b>Folse Alarm Fire Co.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 $10,000 in cash and a $6,300 BRI voucher for founder and CEO Mr. Bart Folse and his teammate Louis Tarone\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2nd place: <\/span><b>Spoonbill Coffee Roasters<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 $8,000 in cash and a $3,300 BRI voucher for founder Ms. Elizabeth Cotter<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3rd place: <\/span><b>Brush A Blowdry Bar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 $5,000 in cash and a $3,300 BRI voucher for owners Ms. Sara Parson and Mr. Jeff Lindley\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">4th place: <\/span><b>Cajun Boots Farm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 $2,000 in cash and a $1,500 BRI voucher for owner Ms. Tonilynn Brown<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">5th place: <\/span><b>Bremly Beauty<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 $1,000 in cash and a $1,500 BRI voucher for co-owners Ms. Emily Lirette and Ms. Bree D&#8217;errico\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">6th place: <\/span><b>HaulR<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u2013 $500 in cash and a $1,500 BRI voucher for founder and CEO Mr. Matt Schultheis<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The purpose of the BRI is to provide training, services, mentorships, networking and other support to existing or aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses.
