THIBODAUX, La. \u2013 The <\/span>ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Recreation Center<\/span><\/a> is set to host a <\/span>Paddle on the Bayou<\/span><\/a> event on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025. This community event welcomes participants of all skill levels and offers an opportunity to explore scenic Bayou Lafourche with friends and family.<\/span><\/p>\n

Takeoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Bayou Side Launch, with the route concluding at the Melodia Boat Launch. <\/span>Registration<\/span><\/a> costs $20 for ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ students and $40 for non-students and includes participation in the paddle event along with a jambalaya dinner. In addition, boats will be provided for ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ students at no additional cost. Participants can earn a $10 discount by referring a friend and sharing the event on Facebook.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We are thrilled to host Paddle on the Bayou as an opportunity to bring the community together, celebrate the beauty of Louisiana’s waterways, and encourage active lifestyles,” said Tanner LeBoeuf, event coordinator for ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Recreation Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event is sponsored by organizations including the <\/span>Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Friends of Bayou Lafourche<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Louisiana\u2019s Cajun Bayou<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
