THIBODAUX \u2014 ÐÓ°É´«Ã½\u2019s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program continues to exceed the national average on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) with a 95 percent pass rate.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The NCLEX-RN is a national standardized exam used by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing to measure a nursing candidate\u2019s minimum safety preparedness for entry-level nursing practice. With a 95 percent pass rate for first-time takers during calendar year 2015, up from 91.96 percent in 2014, the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ nursing program is well above the national pass rate of 84.5 percent and the Louisiana pass rate of 89.3 percent.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\u201cMaintaining such an exceptional pass rate means nurses who graduate from the accredited ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ nursing program are able to meet the demanding outcomes that we establish and expect, thereby supplying hospitals and health clinics with strong entry-level nurses capable of providing their patients with safe care,\u201d said Rebecca Lyons, Associate Dean, College of Nursing. \u201cOur program\u2019s success is a testament to not only our hardworking students, but also our committed faculty and supportive administration.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
