Recognition of Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Service longevity is recognized for employees who have served in excess of 10 years at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½. These awards are presented at the annual Classified Personnel Service Awards Program usually held toward the end of the spring semester.<\/p>\n<p>The Mamie Bourgeois Award was established in 1980 by the Amigas Club of Thibodaux in honor of one of its charter members, the late Mamie Bourgeois. This award is presented annually to the University&#8217;s outstanding classified employee with emphasis placed upon excellence and dedication to the recipient&#8217;s occupation. The ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Outstanding Trades Employee award was established in 1995 by the PRO\u2013NSU Club to recognize outstanding service to the University by classified employees in the skilled craft and service jobs. The award is presented annually to a classified employee and recognizes excellence and dedication to the recipient\u2019s occupation. Subsequently, the recipients of both awards may be nominated for the Louisiana Civil Service League&#8217;s Charles E.
