sexual violence, or know someone who has experienced sexual violence, with an array of resources that reflect the University\u2019s commitment to preventing and responding to sexual misconduct, locate providers of medical care and counseling, and to learn how to report sexual gender-based violence requires\u00a0a comprehensive approach to prevention that:<\/p><ul><li>Acknowledges that the vast majority of sexual misconduct is perpetrated by a person or persons known to the victim.<\/li><li>Recognizes the complex and often co-occurring connection of alcohol and drugs and to sexual assault.<\/li><li>Challenges any propensity for victim-blaming.<\/li><li>Promotes the acceptance of \u2013 and affirms each individual\u2019s right to \u2013 a broad spectrum of sexual choices.<\/li><li>Understands and clearly defines the meaning and nature of consent.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element requires a holistic approach. We aim to raise\u00a0awareness of issues, resources, and responsibilities among all members of the\u00a0campus, providing each with the skills and efficacy to promote a caring\u00a0community in which students are safe from sexual assault, harassment, and\u00a0discrimination.<\/p><p>Self-care is important when coping with events that would be prohibited under the Title IX Policy. All involved parties have many options and are encouraged to seek confidential counseling and support from offices and\/or entities identified
