Students who have received other scholarships/awards, have extra-curricular involvement, or are members of campus or community organizations may submit or upload a copy of their student activities resume.

THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY FIRST GENERATION ENDOWED UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP [2 @ $500]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Louisiana and must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a first-generation college student; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. The recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they maintain a 2.5 GPA.

THE ALBERT “AL” CUNNINGHAM, JR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $500]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will have a minimum grade point average of 3.25. If the student is an entering freshman, the student will be TOPS qualified. The recipient must have demonstrated financial need. The scholarship is open to any major.

THE ALLEN AND JEANNETTE FOUNDATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [12@ $375]: will be awarded to full-time students enrolled at Ӱɴý pursuing degrees in Education and Nursing. The applicants must be of either sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate classification with at least a 2.0 GPA or higher. The applicant must show financial need.

THE ALLEN J. DANOS, SR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is awarded to a graduate of an accredited public or private high school or home school student. Public or private high school graduates must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 and a minimum ACT score of 18. Home school students must have a minimum ACT score of 21. Community service and extra-curricular activities will be considered. Preference will be given to first-time freshmen who are dependents of employees of Danos. Employees must have 5 years of service with Danos. If there are no first-time freshmen eligible, continuing students may qualify. Continuing students must have a 3.00 cumulative GPA within the first two semesters of enrollment and 3.25 cumulative GPA upon completion of the third semester of enrollment in order to apply. Recipients must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and be enrolled in at least 12 hours. The recipient must maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA for the first two semesters and a 3.25 for the next six semesters. The value of the scholarship is $1000.00 per semester for eight semesters. If no dependents of Danos qualify, the scholarship will be awarded to another otherwise qualified student for one year.

THE ALICE AND WILLIAM CALLOWAY BAND SCHOLARSHIP in the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Sciences and Technology [1 @ $1000]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled in any degree program in the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Technology. The recipient must be a U.S. citizen and resident of Louisiana. The recipient must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The recipient must also be a member of the Ӱɴý Band. The recipient shall hold the scholarship for two consecutive semesters, providing all of the above criteria is met. Financial need will be a consideration.

ANTHONY J. ROUSE, SR. FOOD ENTREPRENEURSHIP ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1@ $625]: is awarded to a full-time student at Ӱɴý who is at least a part-time employee of Rouses’ Supermarkets or the child of at least a part-time employee of Rouses’ Supermarkets. The recipient must be enrolled in one of the programs within the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. Preference will be given to candidates interested in food entrepreneurship. The recipient must be a graduate of an accredited public or private high school. The recipient may keep this scholarship for one year provided he or she meets all the above criteria and maintains a 2.50 overall GPA. THE BARTELS FAMILY FIRST GENERATION ENDOWED UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $500]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Lafourche or Terrebonne parish and must have graduated from a Louisiana high school. The recipient must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a first generation college student; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. Each recipient will major either in Nursing or in Biological Sciences. Each recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they maintain a 2.66 GPA while earning at least 12 hours each semester.

THE BILL HOCHSTETLER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $375]: is awarded to a full-time student of at least sophomore standing who is majoring in Business. The applicant will have and maintain at least a 2.5 overall GPA. The applicants must be a graduate from a Lafourche Terrebonne, Assumption, St. Mary or St. Charles parish high school and a resident of Louisiana. Applicants must be involved in at least one campus activity and will supply the Scholarship Office with a copy of their student activities resume. The applicant will also have at least part-time employment, which can either be on or off campus.

THE BLAINE FASLUND MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP [1@$375]: Awarded to a sanctioned bowler or a family member of a sanctioned bowler. A copy of the sanctioned bowler’s card must accompany the application. The recipient must be a resident of Lafourche or Terrebonne parish. The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Ӱɴý and maintain a 2.50 overall GPA. If awarded to a first-time freshman, the recipient may keep this scholarship for 4 years (eight semesters) provided he or she meets all of the above criteria and has at least a 2.5 overall GPA in high school. Should no entering freshman apply, the scholarship may be awarded to a continuing student provided they meet the above criteria. The continuing student may keep the scholarship until graduation, but not more than 8 semesters. Financial need may be considered when screening applicants for this scholarship. THE BOYSIE AND JOY BOLLINGER FIRST GENERATION ENDOWED UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP [2 @ $500]: is awarded to a full-time, TOPS qualified student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Louisiana and must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a first generation college freshman; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. The recipient shall declare his or her major to be Culinary Arts. Each recipient will demonstrate their commitment to the culinary profession through 2 (two) letters of reference. The letters of reference must be submitted to the Scholarship Office. The recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they maintain a 2.5 GPA. THE BUSH FAMILY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $2500]: will be awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý who is a graduate of Thibodaux High School. The recipient will be of any undergraduate classification and any major. The recipient will have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The recipient must have a financial need. The award will be for one academic year, but the recipient can apply for the scholarship for up to four years. CALLAIS COMPANIES II ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1@ $750]: Awarded to a full-time student at Ӱɴý. The recipient must be an employee or dependent of an employee of a company owned by the Callais Family. If a qualified employee or dependent are not available, the recipient must be a graduate of a Louisiana high school with a 2.50 GPA. The qualifying companies are United Community Bank and Pelican Waste and Debris, LLC.

THE CAPITAL ONE BANK “STAND UP FOR NICHOLLS” SCHOLARSHIP [3 @ $250]: will be awarded to a full-time student admitted to the university. The applicant must have a completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and financial aid file for the academic year in which the scholarship is being awarded. The applicant must have a remaining unmet need after the student’s financial aid package is complete for the academic year in which the scholarship is being awarded. THE CELESTE GROS SILVERNAIL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [4 @ $1250]: will be awarded to a student enrolled full-time or program full-time in the BSN program at Ӱɴý. The applicant must be enrolled in NURS 355 or higher at the time of receipt of the scholarship. The scholarship committee will give preference to a resident of Lafourche parish. The applicant must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher. In addition to the application, the student must submit a typed 250-word essay detailing why they should receive the scholarship. The deadline to apply isAugust 28, 2026. THE CHRISTOPHER ANTHONY BENOIT, JR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1@ $250]: is awarded to a student admitted to Ӱɴý. The student may be of any classification and enrollment status. There is no minimum GPA level for this scholarship. The applicant should be associated with Colonels E-Sports and have a major in the College of Liberal Arts.

The is a $500 scholarship ($250 fall/$250 spring semester) awarded to full-time students majoring in Dietetics. Students eligible are in senior standing in the DPD program. The recipient will receive the scholarship for one academic year and must maintain a 2.75-grade point average to maintain the scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to students who can demonstrate a commitment to the Ӱɴý community, as well as the dietetics program and student organization. The deadline to apply isAugust 28, 2026.

COMMUNITY BANK EXCELLENCE IN MASS COMMUNICATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $1000]: Awarded to a full-time freshman majoring in Mass Communication that has earned, and continues to earn, at least a GPA of 2.75 each semester. The recipient must be a graduate of a Louisiana high school.

CROSBY TUGS SCHOLARSHIP [1@ $250]: Awarded to a South Lafourche resident with a 3.00 GPA. First priority will be given to dependents of employees of Crosby Tugs, Inc.

The is awarded to students of junior status in a food-service related concentration, in honor of Danny LeBlanc, who was a Dietetics student at Ӱɴý. This scholarship awards $500 to the applicant selected by the AHSC Scholarship Committee who demonstrates leadership qualities in the area of nutrition and food service. The deadline to apply isAugust 28, 2026.

DEBRA BARTELS MELTON ENDOWED NURSING SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: Awarded to a full-time Nursing Student with at least a 3.0 GPA in courses that apply toward their BSN degree. The applicant must be a resident of Louisiana and TOPS qualified. The applicant may be of freshman standing. Preference may be given, but is not required, to an employee/dependent of an employee of Eagle Consulting LLC/Facilities Inc. or a member of Mulberry Baptist Church of Houma.

E. ANN BARKER, M.D. SCHOLARSHIP FUND [1 @ $500]: Awarded to a junior or senior enrolled in Nursing or Allied Health Sciences. The applicant must be full-time, or program full-time, and must be a resident of Terrebonne or Lafourche parish. The applicant must be at least 23 years of age or older and must maintain a 2.50 GPA per semester.

THE ELLEN CANCIENNE ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP [1@ $1000] is awarded to a full-time student from Southeast Louisiana enrolled at Ӱɴý. Continuing students must have a 3.00 GPA to apply. Incoming freshmen must have the required GPA for admission into the university. The student awarded this scholarship may keep it up to eight semesters if they maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA. The applicant must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to the applicant enrolled as a Biology major with a declared concentration in Pharmacy. If no applicant qualifies in Pharmacy, other health sciences or medical field concentrations will be considered.

ELODIE BROWN CHABERT SCHOLARSHIP IN NURSING [1 @ $1000]: will be awarded to a full-time student majoring in Nursing at Ӱɴý. The applicant can be of any classification but must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher. The applicant must be a parent of a child or children. The deadline to apply isAugust 28, 2026. FIRST AMERICAN BANK SCHOLARSHIP [8 @ $500 each]: Awarded to full-time dependent students with low to moderate family income. The applicants must maintain a minimum 2.50 GPA and be of at least sophomore standing. The applicants must reside in one of the following parishes: Ascension, Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John, and Terrebonne. One recipient will be selected from each of the previously mentioned parishes. The scholarship is valid for one semester. FORTY & EIGHT NURSING SCHOLARSHIP [2 @ $500]: Awarded to a full-time Nursing major in the Bachelor’s Degree program. The applicants must have completed at least one semester in the Nursing Curriculum. Applicants must maintain a 2.000 Cumulative GPA and a minimum 2.000 GPA in all Nursing courses. The applicants must also show evidence of need and be of honorable character and highly motivated. Applications are available in the Scholarship Office or by emailing brandy.stpierre@nicholls.edu

THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE LODGE 52 SCHOLARSHIP [3 @ $250]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Lafourche Parish with a minimum 2.5 GPA or higher. The student must be a declared Government, Political Science, or Criminal Justice major. F.O.P. members or their immediate family can also apply. F.O.P members or their immediate family can be any declared major. Preference will be given to F.O.P. members or their dependents. THE GEORGE PICOU MEMORIAL FIRST GENERATION ENDOWED UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP [2@ $500]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Louisiana and must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a first generation college student; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. The recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they maintain a 2.5 GPA.

THE GLENDA S. TAUZIN ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled and pursuing a major within the College of Nursing at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be classified as a sophomore, junior or senior. The recipient must be accepted into the Nursing program and be enrolled in their clinical courses. The recipient must have at least a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applicants must include a short biography of themselves (ex. Where you are from, financial need, future goals, etc.) and an essay up to 750 words on “What draws you to Nursing?”. Include any inspirational stories that lead you to pursue Nursing as a career. The scholarship is awarded for one year. The student must meet the criteria above to retain the scholarship for the second semester. THE GORDON “BUBBA” DOVE, JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $2500] is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Lafourche, Terrebonne, St. Mary, or Assumption parish. The recipient’s enrollment in the Petroleum Engineering Technology and Safety Management Program, the Maritime Management Program, or in any program in the College of Business is preferred but not required. The recipient will be eligible to receive the award for one year (two semesters) provided they have and maintain a 2.5 GPA. The recipient will demonstrate community service involvement. You must submit a copy of your updated student activities resume. Financial need will be a consideration when awarding this scholarship. The applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member of Ӱɴý in the stipulated program. DR. GRACE MONK GUEYDAN SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: Awarded to a student who is TOPS qualified and a full-time student at Ӱɴý, must be enrolled in one of the majors in the College of Nursing, and must have a 3.00 GPA.

THE HELEN ALENE MELANCON EXCELLENCE IN MEN’S BASEBALL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $375]: Awarded to a high school graduate who demonstrates strong academic and leadership achievements and is an athlete who will compete in intercollegiate Baseball at Ӱɴý. The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student and be NCAA eligible. (A full-time student is defined as a student enrolled in 12 or more hours of credit courses.) The recipient must be receiving an athletic scholarship in baseball. If awarded, the athletic scholarship may be reduced by the value of this award. The recipient may keep this scholarship for four years provided they meet all the above criteria and maintains a 2.80 overall GPA. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need.

THE HELEN ALENE MELANCON EXCELLENCE IN COMMUNICATIVE DISORDERS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $375]: Awarded to a high school graduate who demonstrates strong academic and leadership achievements and plans to major in Allied Health Sciences with a concentration in Communicative Disorders at Ӱɴý. The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student. (A full-time student is defined as a student enrolled in 12 or more hours of credit courses.) The recipient may keep this scholarship for four years provided he or she meets all the above criteria and maintains a 2.80 overall GPA. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need.

THE HILDA CARLOS DUPLANTIS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý with at least a 3.0 GPA. The recipient must be a resident of Louisiana and a graduate of Terrebonne High School or South Terrebonne High School. The recipient may keep this scholarship for two semesters provided he or she earns at least 12 hours and maintains a 3.0 overall grade point average. The value of the scholarship is $250 per semester.

THE DR. JAMES ‘JIM’ JOSEPH RUMORE, SR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: is awarded to a Ӱɴý student enrolled full-time in the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. The applicant will be of either Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification. There is no minimum GPA requirement to maintain this scholarship. The applicant will have a Professional Concentration with a focus on savory.

THE JOCK H. CENAC 1st GENERATION ENDOWED UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $1250]: is awarded to a full-time, TOPS qualified student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Louisiana and must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a first generation college student; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. The recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they maintain a 3.0 GPA.

JOE AND GINA SANFORD FAMILY ENDOWED 1ST GENERATION SCHOLARSHIP [3 @ $625]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Louisiana. Each recipient will be a graduate of a high school located in the tri-city area of Morgan City, Berwick and Patterson. The recipient must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a first-generation college student; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. Each recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they maintain a 3.0 GPA while earning at least 12 hours each semester. Each recipient must also remain Pell Grant eligible.

JOSEPH M. MOLL III AND PAMELA GUEYDAN MOLL SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: Awarded to a full-time “TOPS” qualified student with at least a 3.000 GPA. The recipient may major in any academic program. This scholarship is valid for one year.

KEITH T. AND RITA R. HAMILTON ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN EDUCATION [1 @ $250]: Awarded to a student with at least sophomore status and a minimum GPA of 3.250. The recipient will perform three hours of service a week at a Lafourche or Terrebonne Parish elementary public school. Service will consist of tutoring at-risk students, assisting teachers in the classroom environment, or performing other services as deemed appropriate by the Lafourche or Terrebonne Parish School Board staff and the Ӱɴý College of Education Supervisor of Student Teaching. THE KENNEDI FORET MARINE BIOLOGY UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: is open to students who are graduates of a Lafourche Parish High School who are currently enrolled as a full-time student at Ӱɴý. Students must be a Biology major with a concentration in Marine Biology. Applicants must be of Sophomore, Junior, or Senior classification with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Please complete the application . The deadline to apply isJuly 20, 2026.

LAFOURCHE PARISH BAR ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP [1@ $250]: Awarded to an applicant who has a 2.50 GPA and is a graduate of a Lafourche Parish High School. The applicant must have completed at least 25 semester hours prior to applying. Preference will be given to students who are within the Law Option Curriculum (Business Pre-Law) or Criminal Justice.

THE LAVERNE LAWSON EXCELLENCE IN NURSING ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $1,250]: Awarded to a high school graduate of Central Lafourche High School who demonstrates strong academic and leadership achievements and plans to major in nursing at Ӱɴý. The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at Ӱɴý. (A full-time student is defined as a student enrolled in 12 or more hours of credit courses.) The recipient may keep this scholarship for four years provided he or she meets all of the above criteria and maintains a 3.0 overall grade point average.

THE LEROY THERIOT MEAT & CHARCUTERIE CULINARY ARTS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1@ $625]: is awarded to a full-time student at Ӱɴý who is at least a part-time employee of Rouses’ Supermarkets or the child of at least a part-time employee of Rouses’ Supermarkets. The recipient must be enrolled in one of the programs within the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. Preference will be given to candidates interested in the butcher crafts. The recipient must be a graduate of an accredited public or private high school. The recipient may keep this scholarship for one year provided he or she meets all the above criteria and maintains a 2.50 overall GPA. THE LESLEY WHARTON MARCELLO ENDOWMENT FOR OUTSTANDING STUDENT PUBLICATION SERVICE [1 @ $250]: Awarded to a full-time (12 hours) student in good standing with the university at the time of nomination. The recipient should have worked in Student Publication at Ӱɴý for at least a semester prior to nomination. The application will include an essay on why working on the university newspaper or yearbook has or will help them in their majors, careers, or life. The application will include a letter of nomination from someone who is best suited to nominate the student for this award, preferably someone in Student Publications who has had a chance to observe the student. THE LESLIE ELAINE GUEDRY MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $500]: will be awarded to a full time student of Junior, Senior, or Graduate classification. The student must have and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Applicants must be graduates of either Ascension Catholic or Assumption High School. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Communicative Disorders in preparation for employment in the field of Speech Pathologist or Audiologist and/or for graduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology. THE LESTER AND MYRTLE FREMIN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: is awarded to a full-time student at Ӱɴý. The applicant must have and maintain at least a 2.50 GPA and must be enrolled in at least 12 hours. The value of the scholarship is $500 a year ($250 per semester). First prioritywill be given to an employee or a dependent of an employee of a Fremin Family owned business (Flanagan’s Restaurant, Fremin’s Restaurant, Nifty Fifties Café, High Rollers, Delta Coin Inc. or Fremin Brother Rentals LLC). If no one applies from any of the previously listed businesses, the scholarship may be awarded to a student from any major with second priority being a student enrolled full-time in the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute.

LINDA SATTERLEE MYERS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN EDUCATION [1 @ $875]: is awarded to a full-time (12 or more hours) student enrolled in the College of Education and Behavioral Science majoring in an Education field at Ӱɴý. Applicants must have achieved sophomore status and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. The applicant must have demonstrated financial need. The recipient may receive the scholarship for up to six semesters, provided he/she continues to meet the eligibility criteria. THE LOUISIANA GARDEN CLUB FEDERATION DISTRICT III KEVIN and ASHLEY RUSSO SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $1000]: is awarded to a full-time (12 or more hours) student majoring in Biology, with a concentration in Environmental Biology, at Ӱɴý. The applicant must have attained sophomore, junior or senior standing and must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. The scholarship is valued at $500 per semester and will be awarded for one year. To receive the scholarship for the second semester, the student must earn at least a 3.0 GPA and at least 12 hours.

Each recipient will be a resident and registered voter of Ward 6 in Lafourche Parish and have graduated from E.D. White Catholic High School, Houma Christian School, or Thibodaux High School. If a recipient has not reached age 18 yet, he or she must register to vote at age 18 in order to remain eligible to retain the scholarship for future semesters. Students who meet all other criteria but were home schooled or passed the GED are also eligible to apply. The recipient must have at least a 2.8 GPA. The recipient must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a first generation college student; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. Each recipient will be enrolled in either in the College of Nursing, the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, the College of Liberal Arts, or the College of Sciences and Technology. Each recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they maintain a 2.8 GPA while earning at least 12 hours each semester. The recipient must also remain Pell Grant eligible. Special consideration will be given to the applicant’s character, leadership and participation in professional or charitable organizations, as well as to honorably discharged members of the United States Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard. Each recipient must be a citizen of the United States and a registered voter in the Louisiana parish they reside in and must attach Voters ID Card to the application. The recipient must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. The student may receive the scholarship for up to four semesters, provided he or she continues to meet all necessary criteria. Each recipient must be a Ӱɴý Upper Classman or Alumni. Preference will be given to registered voters of Ward 6 in Lafourche Parish who are enrolled in the Specialist in School Psychology Graduate Program with the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. Preference will be given to graduates of any high school in Lafourche or Terrebonne Parish.

Priority consideration will be to an applicant that is citizen of the U.S. who votes in Ward 6. If no ward 6 applicants apply, then a resident of Lafourche parish will be considered. The Ӱɴý Bridge to Independence junior or senior must have and maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Past recipients and other applicants must reapply each fall and spring semester. In addition, one 2nd year qualifying Ӱɴý Bridge to Independence Ward 6 student enrolled in the 2-year certificate program who is meeting all criteria previously mentioned may be eligible for a $200 scholarship. The is a $250 scholarship awarded to a full-time student majoring in a sports medicine related program (i.e., Health Sciences: Pre-Athletic Training Concentration, Health Sciences: Pre-Professional, etc.) in the College of Sciences and Technology. The recipient will be classified as either a junior or senior and have earned at least a 2.50 cumulative GPA at the time of application. The recipient shall hold the scholarship for two consecutive semesters (one academic year), provided all of the above criteria are met. The deadline to apply isAugust 28, 2026.

THE NICHOLAS LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: Awarded to a full-time (12 hours) student of junior status or better majoring in either Information Systems or Computer Science. The applicant must be a resident of Lafourche, Terrebonne, or Assumption Parish with at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.

THE NORMAN SWANNER MEMORIAL 1st GENERATION ENDOWED UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP [4 @ $500]: is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Louisiana and must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a first generation college student; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. The recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they maintain a 2.5 GPA.

PHIL J. “SONNY” NAQUIN, JR. SCHOLARSHIP [1@$250]: Awarded to a high school graduate who demonstrated strong academic and leadership achievements and maintained an overall 3.000 GPA in high school. The applicant must be an entering freshman and must be enrolled as a full-time student for the upcoming fall semester. The recipient must also be a graduate of Thibodaux High or E.D. White Catholic High Schools and have at least a 22 on the ACT. To retain the scholarship for the second semester, the recipient must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and earn at least 12 semester hours. The student cannot be in receipt of any academic scholarship from Ӱɴý.

THE RANDOLPH AND CECILIA CHERAMIE MEMORIAL FIRST GENERATION ENDOWED UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP IN CULINARY ARTS [1 @ $500] is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. Priority consideration will be given to a graduate of South Lafourche High School, Central Lafourche High School, or Grand Isle High School. If no qualified student applies from one of these high schools, consideration will then be given to a graduate of any Louisiana high school. The recipient will be a resident of Louisiana and must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a first generation college student; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. The recipient shall declare his or her major to be Culinary Arts. The recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they maintain a 2.66 GPA.

REGIE TRUXILLO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP [1@ $250]: Awarded to a dependent of an employee of Crosby Tugs, Inc. Applicants must be full-time students who maintain a 2.5 grade-point average.

THE ROBYN ADELE FORD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN EDUCATION [1@ $250]: is awarded to a fulltime student enrolled in a degree program in teacher education in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. The scholarship was established in support of a candidate who 1) has personally battled cancer or 2) has faced other challenges in obtaining his/her degree. The candidate must possess the qualities espoused by Robyn: intelligence, strength, laughter, wisdom, passion and a love of education. The recipient will be classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior and have earned a 3.0 GPA or higher at the time of the award. Graduate students may be considered. The recipient shall hold the scholarship for two consecutive semesters. To receive the scholarship for a second semester, the recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA. Primary consideration must go to a candidate who is 1) battling cancer or 2) a cancer survivor. Should there not be qualified applicant whose life has been personally touched by cancer, the scholarship funds may be allocated to a candidate who has experienced other challenges in obtaining his/her degree. If these criteria are not met, the scholarship funds will be transferred to a subsequent semester for a candidate who meets the criteria. ST. MARY INDUSTRIAL GROUP ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [4 @ $375]:The St. Mary Industrial Group Endowed Scholarship will provide one scholarship to an incoming freshman graduate from each of the following East St. Mary Parish, Louisiana high schools: Central Catholic High School, Morgan City High School, Berwick High School, and Patterson High School. Recipients must enroll as full-time students (12 or more credit hours per semester) and have and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. The scholarship will be awarded for up to four years, provided the recipient continues to meet all eligibility requirements. THE SCLASS/GEE SCHOLARSHIP FOR EDUCATION MAJORS [1 @ $300]: is awarded to a full-time (12 or more hours) student majoring in Education at Ӱɴý. Students majoring inArt, Music, and Math Education, who are in the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Technology, may apply.Freshman applicants must have an ACT Score of 22 or higher with at least a 3.0 GPA. Continuing students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. The applicant must have a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file with the Office of Financial Aid. The scholarship is valued at $300 per semester for two semesters. The applicant must have documented evidence of the impact their service has had on a particular group or individual (ex. volunteerism, service learning, field-work, or internships that show civic responsibility and engagement). THE STEPHEN AND REBECCA HULBERT ENDOWED FIRST GENERATION UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP [3 @ $500]is awarded to a full-time student enrolled at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Louisiana and must be awarded the federal Pell Grant. The recipient will be a 1st generation college student; neither the parents nor legal guardians will have earned a college degree. The recipient will be eligible to receive the award for a maximum of eight semesters provided they have and maintain at least a 2.66 GPA.

TA WA SI ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $625]: Awarded to a student with a 3.00 GPA who can demonstrate financial need. The recipient will be a sophomore and may receive the scholarship for a maximum of six semesters, provided that he or she maintains a 3.00 GPA and full-time status. The recipient shall be a graduate of a Lafourche Parish school. If no applicant meets the criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to a qualifying student chosen from the eight-parish region served by Ӱɴý.

The is a $250 scholarship awarded to full-time (12 or more hours) students at Ӱɴý. The student must have a declared major in any of the Allied Health Sciences programs (Pre-Athletic Training/Kinesiology, Communicative Disorders, Dietetics, Health Science Professional Practice, and Health Science Supervision and Management). The recipient must have a 3.25 GPA. If the student is an entering freshman, he/she will be TOPS qualified. The scholarship is for one year at $250 per semester. The deadline to apply isAugust 28, 2026.

THIBODAUX REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM AUXILIARY NURSING SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $ 1000]: is awarded to a student with a declared major of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The applicant must be enrolled full-time in NURS 222/223, 255, 355, 371, 381, 400, 420, or 428. The recipient must have and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA or higher in courses that apply toward their BSN degree. The applicant must also be a resident of Lafourche, Terrebonne, Assumption, or St. Mary Parish. The deadline to apply isAugust 28, 2026. THIBODAUX VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIP [2 students]: The applicant must be an active member in good standing of the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department or a dependent child of a member meeting the same criteria. The applicant must be of good moral character. The committee will take into consideration the quality of and length of service to the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department of the applicant or parent. If the applicant is a first-time freshman, he or she must have graduated from high school with at least a 3.0 GPA. In case of extreme financial need, the committee may waive down to a 2.5 grade point average. The applicant must be enrolled as a fulltime student at Ӱɴý and maintain fulltime status. The applicant must maintain an overall grade point average of at least 3.0. The financial need of the applicant will be considered. The scholarship will be applied to the remaining balance of tuition and fees after TOPS, institutional aid, and private scholarships are applied. Those with no remaining eligibility may be awarded a set dollar amount to be determined at the time of awarding. THE TINA HOWELL EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP [1 @ $250]: is awarded to a full-time (12 or more hours) student majoring in Education at Ӱɴý. The recipient will be a resident of Assumption Parish. The recipient will be classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior. Preference will be given to sophomore standing. The recipient will have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The scholarship is valued at $250 per semester for up to 6 semesters as long as criteria are maintained. In order to retain the scholarship for future semesters, the recipient must earn at least 12 hours each term with at least a 3.0 GPA.
