Installation Instructions

  1. Visit
  2. Enter your my杏吧传媒ID, followed by @nicholls.edu (ex. jdoe1@nicholls.edu)听补苍诲听my杏吧传媒 ID password and聽click 鈥�Sign In鈥�
  3. Verify your identity through the聽multifactor authentication.
  4. In the left-side menu, click “Apps”.
  5. Select 鈥�Install Apps鈥� In the upper right hand corner of the webpage.
  6. Click “Microsoft 365 apps” and the installer will download.
  7. Once installed, you will need to login within the app using the same credentials from step 2.

FAQs

  • Can I use this software on my university machine?
    NO ! This software is licensed for personal use on your personal hardware only ! If you need Microsoft Office installed on your university device, please send an email to helpdesk@nicholls.edu.
  • My login is not working!
    You must use your聽my杏吧传媒ID, followed by @nicholls.edu (ex. jdoe1@nicholls.edu)聽and your my杏吧传媒 ID password.

  • Do I have to use multifactor authentication?
    Yes ! All 杏吧传媒 Microsoft accounts require multifactor authentication. Multifactor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Microsoft 365 account sign-in. You can view instructions on how to set it up聽here.

  • What does聽Microsoft Office include?
    Microsoft Office comes with a full version of Office which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and more. Microsoft Office is a user-based service and allows each student to install on up to five computers (Windows or Mac), tablets, and smartphones.
  • What happens when I leave the University (retirement, separation, etc)?
    Your Microsoft Office subscription through the University ends when you leave the University (retirement, separation, etc). 聽You should make sure to transfer all your files from your school OneDrive to your personal OneDrive prior to leaving.
