The Spring 2020HumanitiesSymposium awards the top three student documentaries. Congratulations to the student filmmakers of ENGL 446:DocumentaryFilm Production.

First Place goes to“Under the Knife: Overcoming Boundaries” by Andrew Liang, a film about a Ӱɴý student with an interesting narrative: while being legally blind, a double lung transplant recipient and diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, he is studying at John Folse Culinary Institute to become a chef.

Second Place goes to“The Caf Crew” by Shaun Breaux, a film about the lively and supportive staff at the Vernon F. Galliano Dining Hall.

Third Place goes to “The Search for Evidence” by Owen Callais, a film about the legend of Big Foot inLouisiana, starring the hosts of Animal Planet’s hit show,Finding Bigfoot.
