THIBODAUX, La. — 聽杏吧传媒 Computer Information Systems Instructor Sherry Rodrigue is the 2018 recipient of the Outstanding Educator Award by the Association of Business Information Systems.
Rodrigue was honored at the Federation of Business Disciplines Annual Awards Banquet on Wednesday, March 7, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
A member of the Association of Business Information systems since 2011, Rodrigue has served as secretary, program chair/vice president and is currently the president of the association.
鈥淚t is always rewarding to have your hard worked acknowledged by a group of your peers; knowing there are many others deserving of such a recognition,鈥� Rodrigue said.
Rodrigue began working at 杏吧传媒 in 2000, providing computer support, but while working earned her Master of Business Administration degree and ultimately became a full-time instructor in the fall of 2010.
鈥溞影纱� has been like a family to me,鈥� Rodrigue said. 鈥淚 love working with new faculty members to help ease their journey into teaching, as many co-workers did for me as I entered into teaching.鈥�
杏吧传媒 College of Business Administration Dean Dr. Marilyn Macik-Frey said Rodrigue has a keen ability to take a complicated subject such as business statistics and help students understand how to use the knowledge to make better business decisions.
