PR & Communications Specialist

The PR & Communications Specialistleadsthe execution ofenterprisecommunicationsfor DanosGroup,deliveringclear,strategicmessagingthatreinforces thecompany’spurpose, values, andreputation(PVR).

This roleoperateswithin the Danos Shared Services (DSS)Operatingsystem—primarilyDeliveringenterprise communications,Safeguardingbrand and reputation andEnablingbusinesses with tools and guidance—whilepartneringcloselywithbusiness leaders toensuremessagingsupportsevolving priorities andgrowth.

Responsibilities

Deliver(Centralized Execution)

  • Serve as the primary owner and point of contact for Danos Group communications.
  • Develop, write, and execute internal and external communications, including:
  • Employee, customer, and Foundation newsletters
  • Company-wide campaigns
  • Executive messaging
  • Website content
  • Own and execute the annual communications plan across internal and external audiences using an omni-channel approach.
  • Manage and maintain Danos Group websites, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Support trade shows and events through messaging, content development, and coordination.

Safeguard (Brand & Reputation Protection)

  • Ensure all communications align withDanospurpose, values, and reputation standards (PVR).
  • Establish and reinforce messaging guardrails, tone, and brand consistency across all businesses.
  • Lead proactive and reactive reputation management communications, includingissueresponse support when needed.
  • Maintain editorial standards (AP style, voice, clarity) across all written communications.

Enable (Shared Capability)

  • Provide tools, templates, and guidance to businesses to improve communication quality and consistency.
  • Partner with business leaders and teams to strengthen messaging, storytelling, and audience alignment.
  • Identifyand implement scalable communication practices that improve speed, clarity, and effectiveness.
  • Supportadoptionof emerging technologies (e.g., AI tools) to enhance communication efficiency and impact.

Advise(Strategic Input)

  • Adviseleadership on communication strategy, messaging risks, and positioning opportunities.
  • Recommend audience-targeted sponsorships, media opportunities, and industry recognition (awards, features).
  • Align communication efforts with enterprise strategy, including “Where to Play” and “How to Win” choices.
  • Provide insightonmessage effectiveness, audience engagement, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related fieldpreferred
  • 5+ years ofexperience incorporate communicationsormedia relations
  • Exceptionalwriting, storytelling, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to translate businessstrategy into clear, compellingmessaging
  • Proven ability topartnerwithand influenceleadership
  • Excellent project management skills;ableto manage multiple projectswith speedandclarity
  • Strategicthinkerwithsoundjudgementandstrong problem-solving skills.Abilitytooperateeffectivelyin adynamic,growing organization withevolving needs
  • Proficient in AP style and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experiencewith Canva, CRM, Co-Pilot, iCIMS, ADP, and PowerBIpreferred
  • Experiencewithwebsite contentmanagement andevent supportis a plus.
  • Demonstratedcuriosityand willingnessto exploreand implementnew technologies
