Center Services

THE TUTORING CENTER

The expected outcome for students who receive tutoring is that they become confident, independent learners. Peer tutors work with students to self identify strengths and weaknesses, set goals for each session (and beyond), and ultimately find answers without the assistance of the tutor. To achieve this, both tutors and students are expected to report to each session with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute. Ultimately, we hope that students leave their sessions ready to tackle assignments with a level of self-reliance that they previously did not have.
